Hezron Chetty is a violinist and songwriter from Cape Town, South Africa. After spending many years travelling around the world Hezron crafted a groundbreaking way of performing the violin. His mesh of styles include genres not usually associated with the violin such as Rock, Psychedelic and Afro all blended with Classical, Jazz and Folk Music.
A modern violinist Hezron implores the use of a loop station and is backed by a drummer and bass player. The loop station allows him to layer string arrangements which repeats allowing the drummer and bass player to give the music the drive. Taking from great bands such as Muse, Led Zeppelin, the Doors and instrumental legends like Charlie Parker, Andrew Bird, Jimmy Page, Stephane Grappelli. Hezron has crafted a sound that is true, bold and unique to the current and ever changing landscape of music.
Playing the violin with the soul and passion has seen Hezron join numerous bands in his career like; Arno Carstens, Albert Frost, Medicine Boy, Sannie Fox, Fruits and Veggies, The Broken Record Project (UK), Tony Laf (UK) in 2014 a chance jam session with Malian guitar legend Viewe Farka Toure inspired Hezron to want to write his own album.
In 2015 Hezron released his debut album “The Fallacy Of Composition” which received critical acclaim and was even named one South Africas Top 20 albums of 2015 by Texx and The City (Voted Africa’s Number 1 Music Blog)

Unfortunately we will charge you for your booking should you not cancel in time (the day prior), as we do have a standby list. We have a list of people who we turn away and it’s unfair on those who we turn away when people who have pre-booked don’t turn up. We pay musicians a set fee so if there are empty seats we still pay! So please confirm your booking or cancel in time for us to fill the space.
